Mr Bachchan OTT Release: Ravi Teja Starrer Quietly Makes Way To Digital Platform

Ravi Teja starrer Mr Bachchan, which is a remake of Ajay Devgn starrer Raid, hit the theatres on the occasion of Independence Day (August 15). The movie is based on the real-life income tax raid conducted on Indian industrialist Sardar Inder Singh. While Raid was commercially successful at the box office, Mr Bachchan emerged as a box office bomb. Now, even a month after its release, the movie has quite made its way to OTT.

When and where to watch Mr Bachchan on OTT?

Helmed by Harish Shankar, the movie has premiered on Netflix today, September 12. The movie garnered negative reviews from critics owing to which the makers had to trim it by 13 minutes. Neither Netflix nor the makers have shared any post regarding the OTT release of the movie, but when checked on the app, the movie is being shown in the suggestions on top.  The movie is available in four regional languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Mr Bachchan's week 1 box office collection

Ravi Teja starrer made on the reported budget of ₹80 crore, minted only ₹9.95 crore in the opening week. The movie had a low opening as it earned merely ₹1.8 crore at the box office. The reason behind the film's failure was the crowded release day. On August 15, several movies released across the languages, including Thangalaan in Tamil; Double iSmart in Telugu and Stree 2 in Hindi.

This is Ravi Teja's third consecutive failure at the domestic box office after Tiger Nageswara Rao and Eagle.

What's next for Ravi Teja?

The actor will be next seen in Kohinoor and tentatively titled RT75, helmed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu. It co-stars Sreeleela in the leading role and is slated to hit the theatres in January 2025 on Sankranti. The film's poster was launched in April this year after the movie went on the floors.
