Harry Potter Series: Casting Begins For New Harry, Ron, Hermoine - Do You Fit The Bill?

Harry Potter Series: Potterheads, be ready for a new wave of magic. The much-awaited series is in the works and the studio is in search of actors who can essay Harry, Ron and Hermione.

According to a casting call, HBO is looking for child actors between ages of 9 and 11 who will be playing the roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasely and Hermoine Granger in Harry Potter spin-off series. To be considered, the actor must also be residents of the United Kingdom or Ireland.

The makers also mentioned, “We are committed to inclusive, diverse casting. For every role, please submit qualified performers, without regard to ethnicity sex, disability, race, sexual orientation, gender identity or any others basis protected by law unless otherwise specifically indicated."

All about the upcoming Harry Potter series

The HBO original series will be about each and every book that fans continue to enjoy to this day. The series will focus on all of the seven novels, penned by JK Rowling. The project will reportedly run for 10 years.

According to reports, the series will be written and directed by Succession duo  Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod. Reportedly, Discovery CEO David Zaslav has said on this year’s February earnings call that the show is targeting a 2026 release date.
