Finally, after a long wait, the makers have unveiled the first look of Kota Factory season 3. On Tuesday morning, they shared the trailer on social media offering a glimpse of how students will overcome the pressure of cracking the IIT entrance exam with a good rank. However, this time, the pressure is on Jeetu bhaiya (played by Jitendra Kumar) as well. Read on to know why.
Last season concluded with Jeetu bhaiya opening up his own coaching institute and JEE results giving Vaibhav, Meena and Uday glimpses into their own futures. Now, season 3's trailer, clocking over 2 minutes opens up at Jeetu bhaiya talking at a podcast and advocating that it should be celebrations of "successful preparations" as much as "successful selections". “Jeet ki tayyari nahi, tayyari hi jeet hai bhai,” he said.
In the next frame, an old lady asks Jitendra why he is known as bhaiya and sir. Explaining the reason, he gives an insight into the world of the third season. He says that they are "not" merely JEE aspirants. Teachers tend to forget that the students are 15 to 16-year-old teenagers with never-ending infatuations and insecurities. When a teacher scolds them, they feel demotivated. They take criticism from a friend very badly. They take everything seriously and this responsibility is huge which Jeetu sir won't be able to handle.
It was followed by students tensed for their exams and doubting if they'd be able to crack IIT or not. As the students are shown being frustrated, enter Tillotama Shoma, who questions the ongoing teaching scheme in Kota. She proclaims how these coaching centres are not sharpening the capacities of students but turning into a "mass production". The trailer ends with Meena giving a lesson to his fellow mates, "Never say a dream, say aim instead because dreams are seen while aims are achieved."
The popular series is directed by Raghav Subbu and produced by Arunabh Kumar for The Viral Fever. Apart from Jitendra Kumar, the series stars Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Ahsaas Channa, Revathi Pillai and Urvi Singh. The series is slated to stream on Netflix on June 20.
