Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan starrer Guns & Gulaabs Season 2 announced

Guns & Gulaabs, starring Rajkummar Rao and Dulquer Salmaan, debuted on Netflix in August earlier this year. The show was helmed by director duo Raj & DK and was praised by viewers and critics alike. After the immense success of the first season, the makers of Guns & Gulaabs have now announced the second season of the show. 

Netflix announces second season of Guns & Gulaabs

Netflix shared the announcement video about Guns & Gulaabs’ upcoming season on their official X handle. The caption read, “Khali haath nahi, Guns & Gulaabs ka naya season leke aaye hain. #GunsAndGulaabs Season 2 is coming only on Netflix!” 

Speaking about renewing Guns & Gulaabs for Season 2, filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK said, "We've always believed that this wicked genre mash, Guns & Gulaabs held tremendous potential to entertain, and with Netflix, we found the perfect partners to bring it to life. We are humbled by the love that season 1 has received and are excited about season 2. While we'll keep the details under wraps for now, we will work hard on an adventure that’ll be wilder and more delicious than the first one.”

What is Guns & Gulaabs about? 

Set in the 1990s, Guns & Gulaabs follows the story of a lovestruck mechanic Paana Tipu (Rajkummar Rao), a reluctant heir to a ruling gang Chhota Ganchi (Adarsh Gourav), an honest officer-turned-agent-of-chaos Arjun Verma (Dulquer Salmaan), and a killer called 4-cut Atmaram (Gulshan Devaiah).

This was the fourth web series collaboration for Raj & DK, following Amazon Prime Video’s The Family Man, Unpaused anthology (segment Glitch), and Farzi. Like Raj & DK introduced Telugu star Samantha Ruth Prabhu with The Family Man 2 to audiences speaking a different language, Guns & Gulaabs saw Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan make his series debut.
