Prime Video's satirical take on superheroes, The Boys is set to drop its fourth season on June 13 in India. With the new installment, The Boys will also merge into its spin-off series Gen V. There is a lot to look forward to in the fresh season, with old characters set to return and new ones joining. Before its premiere, here's all you need to know about the fourth season of Eric Kripke's The Boys 4.
Based on The New York Times bestselling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys follows a group of vigilantes, led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who are determined to expose the truth about a corrupt and selfish group of superheroes called Supes, led by Homelander (Antony Starr). The series promises to take a darker turn in Season 4.
The first three episodes have aired on June 13 in India. There are total of eight episodes in the fourth season of The Boys season 4. After the first three episodes drop together on June 14, the show will follow a weekly release schedule, with episodes airing on June 20, June 27, July 4 till July 18, when the season finale will premiere.
Most of the Season 3 cast are returning for the next installment, including Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti. Joining The Boys Season 4 are Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict, Elliot Knight, Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, Cameron Crovetti and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
The synopsis of the show's season 4 reads, “The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office—and Butcher, who has only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The team is fed up with his lies—but with the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world.”
