The Night Manager On OTT: Where To Watch Aditya, Anil, Sobhita's International Emmy Nominated Show

Sandeep Modi’s The Night Manager has been nominated for the International Emmy Awards 2024. Needless to mention, it’s a moment to be celebrated because it is the only entry from India across 14 categories this year. The series is nominated alongside other international shows, including France’s Les Gouttes De Dieu, Australia’s The Newsreader and Argentina’s Losi, El Espia Arrepentido in the same Best Drama Series category.

What is The Night Manager about & where is it streaming?

The show is a remake of the British television series, The Night Manager (2016), which is itself based on John Le Carre's novel of the same title. It revolves around a former lieutenant, who turns into a night manager and infiltrates an arms dealer's inner circle to bring down his empire. 

The show stars Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala in the main roles. Tillotama Shome, Ravi Behl, and Saswata Chatterjee can also be seen as crucial characters in the series.

While the show has only one season, the episodes came in two installments in 2023. In case, you haven’t had the chance to watch this crime-thriller series yet, it’s streaming on Disney+Hotstar currently. 

More about the International Emmy Awards 2024 nominations

Anil Kapoor, who portrayed the role of antagonist in the show, recalled the time when he was offered the show and feeling “conflicted”. However, in the end, the team's hard work paid off, he said. 

“It’s just been brought to my attention that our Indian adaptation of The Night Manager has been nominated for an International Emmy. I remember when the offer came in, I was conflicted. It offered me the opportunity to play a character so complex, but also, on the other hand, the huge responsibility of trying to add newness and authenticity to a part that had been played so masterfully by Hugh Laurie. This validation from the Emmys, in addition to the tremendous love that we have received from fans worldwide, is a worthy reminder that hard work always pays. I am ecstatic and hungrier than ever before for what’s to come.”

The International Emmys Award, which is to be hosted by comedian-actor, Vir Das, will be held at the Hilton Hotel in New York on November 25, 2024. The nominations were announced by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in New York on September 19, 2024.

The other nominations for these awards come from several different countries, including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, India, Chile, Colombia, France, Japan, and Germany, amongst others.
