Ahead of the most awaited match, the official page of BCCI has released a list of performers for the closing ceremony. It was previously anticipated that the singer Dua Lipa would perform on the day, but the official list does not carry her, thus dismissing rumours.

The ICC World Cup 2023 finals will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India will lock horns with Australia for the trophy finals. Amid the fan frenzy, BCCI has released a list of performers at the closing ceremony of the match. Khalasi fame Aditya Gadhvi will take the stage during the first innings drinks break.
His performance will be followed by a list of performances during the innings break. Pritam Chakraborty, Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh, and Tushar Joshi have been finalised for the lineup. The performance lineup has raised audience anticipation for the finals.
Dua Lipa was reported to perform at the event
A video shared by Stars Sports got the fans thinking that Levitating fame Dua Lipa will return to India for the CWC final. Taking to their X (formerly Twitter) account, Star Sports India shared a clip of the singer talking about her potential performance at the closing ceremony and answering questions posed by cricketers KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Kane Williamson.

Posting the video of the singer, the official handle of the channel mentioned, “The Pitch is perfect as @DUALIPA joins the @cricketworldcup spectacle taking questions from @klrahul @ShubmanGil #KaneWilliamson @dazmitchell47 & about the song she'd perform at the #CWC23 closing ceremony.” In the same conversation, cricketer Shubman Gill asks her what song she will perform for the World Cup finals to which the singer replies, ‘I think because it is a sporting event, I’d have to go with ‘Physical’ because it is only fitting. And then One Kiss always seems to go well at matches. Then there are also some of my new songs." This video raised audience anticipation about the match as a confirmation that the singer will perform at the closing ceremony.
