Chitradurga: Amid the ongoing investigation into the Renukaswamy murder case, Republic TV has accessed exclusive footage showing the chilling abduction of Renukaswamy, a local resident, while he was on his way to work. The CCTV footage, captured on IUDP Road, showed Renukaswamy travelling on his moped before the alleged kidnapping occurred.

Renukaswamy was last seen leaving his home and heading to work before the tragic incident occurred. CCTV footage clearly captured him riding his moped, suggesting he was following his usual routine. However, shortly after passing the surveillance camera, police suspect that he was stopped by assailants.

The moped was recovered abandoned 30 meters away from where the CCTV footage was recorded. This critical clue has led investigators to believe that the kidnappers, travelling in a car, stopped next to the highway and forcibly took Renukaswamy.

The victim was taken to a shed in the Kamakshipalya area in Bengaluru, the sources said. "Darshan beat up Renukaswamy with a belt. After he fell unconscious, his accomplices thrashed him with sticks. Further, they threw him against a wall, which proved fatal, as he suffered multiple bone fractures" they said, adding, after the killing, his body was dumped in a storm-water drain in the Kamakshipalya area of the city.

A food delivery boy who noticed stray dogs eating a human body alerted the police. When the police were pursuing the case, two accused approached Kamakshipalya police and "confessed" to having killed Renukaswamy over a financial dispute. However, as the investigation progressed, police found out Darshan and Pavithra's involvement.
