Samantha Teams Up With Aditya Roy Kapur For Tumbbad Director's Web Series?

Following this successful collaboration, Samantha has reunited with Raj & DK for their upcoming Amazon Prime series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, co-starring Varun Dhawan, slated for release later this year. In the latest development, the Kushi actress has once again teamed up with the star duo for yet another new fantasy series, further solidifying her presence in the OTT industry.

Samantha signs for her first Netflix original series

Raj & DK are one of the most successful producers and directors of web shows like The Family Fan, Guns & Gulaabs and Farzi.  Reportedly, they are now gearing up for the release of their forthcoming period fantasy series, Rakht Brahamand. 

Samantha has joined the cast, marking her debut for Netflix.

Shoot of Samantha's new series to begin in August 2024

Sources suggest that she will be co-working with actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Wamiqa Gabbi for the Netflix original series titled Rakht Brahmand. It will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his blockbuster film Tumbbad. Production for this series is scheduled to begin in August 2024, with release planned for late 2025.

Interestingly, Raj & DK will serve as the showrunners and producers for Rakht Brahmand under their production banner, D2R Films. Although this news remains unconfirmed and awaits official verification, it has already generated significant buzz online. Meanwhile, Samantha is also rumoured to be cast for the female lead role in director Gautham Menon's forthcoming Malayalam film, which is slated to star Mammootty.
