The legal notice sent by Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja to YouTube content creator Raginyy has created quite a buzz on social media. This controversy began when the actress expressed her discontent with the content of a video produced by Raginyy. The video in question critiqued Sonam Kapoor's public statements, leading to a legal dispute. Here's what the young content creator said in the video that irked the Kapoors.

What did Raginyy say in the roast video?

Raginyy's video initiated the controversy by addressing what she called "dumb statements" made by Sonam Kapoor. She humorously noted that the actress, owing to her extensive time in the public eye, has a history of making such statements. One of the statements from Sonam that came under Raginyy's scrutiny was uttered during a film press conference.

The actress stated that she earns more than 65,000 and quipped, "Don't you see my outfits?" Raginyy didn't let this pass and poked fun at the actress, suggesting that her privileged background might be clouding her perspective. She playfully remarked, "We get it, Sonam. You were raised in a very prestigious family, and your family has substantial wealth. You don't need to flaunt it; imagine being too poor for Sonam." 

In another instance, Sonam referred to herself as a senior actor in the presence of Rajkummar Rao. This self-designation raised eyebrows and prompted Raginyy to respond with humour. She playfully highlighted the irony, saying, "That's why she's calling herself a senior actor, but the joke's on her because he has achieved more in a shorter span of time."

The actress' statement about being cast as a small-town girl and her need for extensive preparation to be convincing also made its way into the critique. Kapoor mentioned, "For some strange reason, everybody wants to cast me as a small-town girl, so there has to be a lot of preparation for it to be convincing because I don't have any other tools to kind of be as organic." In response, Raginyy made a lighthearted comment, "Because you are so rich, you're getting detached from a root syndrome or something like that, but it's not really a good look."

Raginny's response to the legal notice sent by Sonam-Anand

In response to the legal notice, Raginyy created another YouTube video addressing the controversy. Interestingly, she decided not to mention Sonam Kapoor's name directly in the video, using the title "SHE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED." 

She expressed her concern about the challenges she would face in this legal battle, stating, "My sister is a fashion designer and quite influential, and I have a YouTube channel with like 6k subscribers and a video that has 4k views. My dad is a normal army officer, and I have no way the resources or the time to fight with these guys." She also stated that the situation was far from a "fair competition." 

In her description, she wrote, “I need your help, I was wrong its not the company that's after me it's actually Anand Ahuja, he's making everyone get my personal details like name and number when my mail is accessible on YouTube, there is no scenario on earth where they need my personal details, they also took down a reel I posted on insta, this is really getting serious real fast and now it's not even about my sm channels it's getting personal. I uploaded a light hearted video roasting a certain someone's press conference comments and their pr team has mailed me a notice to take it down, lets talk about it !”
