Sushmita Sen is gearing up for the release of her upcoming web show Taali. The show is based on the struggles of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. Now, she has shared a new video. Sushmita also revealed the release date of its trailer.

Another glimpse of Taali
Sushmita Sen on Sunday, August 6, took to her Instagram handle and shared a new video announcing the release date of the trailer. In the video, Sushmita's character is wiping derogatory words written on a mirror. We then see her face. In the video, we can hear Sushmita saying, "Koi hijra bulata hai, koi nautanki, toh koi gamechanger.”
In the caption, Sushmita Sen announced that the trailer will release tomorrow (August 7).

Sushmita Sen on portraying Shreegauri Sawant
Speaking about her look, the actress earlier said that she's proud and grateful to portray Shreegauri Sawant. "Nothing makes me more proud and grateful than to bring this journey that has been rife with challenges, only to witness a revolution! This one is special for reasons multifold, and I'm really excited."
What’s Taali about?
The web series is created by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar and written by Kshitij Patwardhan. The series highlights Shreegauri Sawant’s attempts at ensuring recognition for the third gender in India. The series also sheds light on the difficulties faced by sex workers' kids.

Apart from Sushmita Sen, it also stars Ankur Bhatia, Aishwarya Narkar, Hemangi Kavi, Suvrat Joshi, Krutika Deo, Nitish Rathore, Meenakshi Chugh, and Shaan Kakkar in pivotal roles. The series will premiere on August 15 on the OTT platform JioCinema.
