After Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam's KH234 welcomes Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha Krishnan on board

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are collaborating after 36 years for untitled KH 234. Now, the makers have announced the star cast of the film on the eve of Haasan's 69th birthday. The film will feature Dulquer Salmaan and Trisha Krishnan in pivotal roles.

On Monday, the makers unveiled the cast of the film, ahead of the title announcement. Introducing Dulquer Salmaan, the official statement read, "is energy & fervour light up the screens! It is always OKK to work with @dqsalmaan. Happy to have you aboard #KH234." In the poster, Dulquer can be seen sporting a chiselled face with a trimmed beard. The film will mark Haasan and Salmaan's first collaboration.

Later, the official page of Raaj Kamal Films International welcomed Trisha on board and wrote, "With utmost delight, we greet and welcome the dazzling actor @trishakrishnan in our exciting journey." The film will mark the second collaboration of Thoongaa Vanam (2015).

On the occasion of Kamal Haasan's birthday, the makers unveiled the first look of the star in which he can be seen in a rugged avatar with his face covered with a cloth. They captioned the post as "Embrace the EPIC REVEAL!" The makers will unveil the title by sharing a video at 5 p.m. on social media.

Meanwhile, the filming is currently underway. KH2324 is jointly produced by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam under their respective banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. AR Rahman will be composing the music for the film, while cinematographer Ravi K Chandran and stunt choreographer duo AnbAriv are other members of the film crew.

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam first teamed up for Nayakan (1987) which was inspired by Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. It was a great hit and became a cult classic film. The upcoming film is expected to be released by next year.
