An insight into Dhanush starrer Captain Miller
The trailer starts with the British army and the locals getting ready to fight each other. In the next frame, enters Dhanush, sporting white powder on his whole face, looking furious. As the trailer continues, it gives a glimpse into the gruesome action scenes, where Dhanush is seen stabbing a British soldier multiple times. The trailer hints that the British officials are eyeing a temple of the village as they want to know what is hidden underneath. So to protect their temple, the villagers have picked up weapons in protest.
As the trailer concludes, it seemingly offers a flashback of Dhanush's character, who was appointed as Captain in the British Army. However, it is to be seen what triggered him to go rogue.
Captain Miller certification
The film is under trimming as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has instructed the filmmakers to reduce violence, including scenes featuring multiple stabbings, a temple fight sequence, a climax fight sequence and more. Along with the cuts, the censor board also directed that certain abusive words must be muted. The censor report states the film has a runtime of 2 hours 37 minutes 50 seconds. Earlier, in an interview, the director revealed that the film also has a prequel and sequel but will only be released depending on how well the film turns out commercially.
Produced under the banner Sathya Jyothi Films, the film stars Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken and Edward Sonnenblick in supporting roles. Releasing during Pongal - January 12 - the film will witness a clash with Sivakarthikeyan starrer Ayalaan and Lal Salaam.
