Leo to get permission for early morning shows?

Production house Seven Screen Studios recently put across a request to the Tamil Nadu government seeking permission for theatres to hold early morning shows for Leo. The government allowed permission for theatres to hold one extra show in the morning for six days starting October 19.

While in Tamil Nadu, the earliest show can begin at 9 am and can end as late as 1.30 am, in other states shows can start as early as 4 am. On October 16, the makers of Leo filed a writ petition in the Madras High Court seeking permission to hold shows between 4 am and 7 am on October 19 and shows starting at 7 am between October 20 and October 24. The court decision in this regard, will come on October 17.

Leo makes box office record prior to its release

The producers' bid to schedule extra shows for the film does not have an unfounded source. Leo recently achieved a record for the highest number of advance ticket sales in the UK, dethroning Pathaan, one of the biggest Indian films of the year, from the position.

However, the court's decision in this regard cannot be predicted due to a somber incident that took place in Chennai earlier this year. In January, during an early morning show of a popular Tamil film in Chennai, celebrations gave way to casualty. As a result, theatres were directed to stop screening films prior to 9 am.
