GV Prakash's Mother AR Reihana Breaks Silence On Son's Divorce From Saindhavi: I'm Not The Reason

GV Prakash and Saindavi left their fans in dismay when they announced their divorce in May this year. The ex-couple, who share a daughter, Anvi, ended their 11 years of marriage. Now, months later, Prakash's, mother and singer A. R. Reihana has finally reacted to her son and daughter-in-law's separation.

In an interview with Gallata, AR Reihana praised her ex-daughter-in-law Saindhavi and said she is a "wonderful lady". The veteran singer added that she has no idea as to why they separated, but she would "really love" to have Sandhavi back at their home. "When they were together, would my imagining them to part ways would have worked? and now when they have separated, would my wish of them reconciling work? No, right...it's destiny. I'm not the reason at all," she continued.

Reihana shared that she spoke to her son GV Prakash about his decision to part ways with Saindhavi, but couldn't understand the reasons he gave her. "When I spoke to my son about their divorce, his reasons are hard for me to digest yet it is valid for him,’’ she said.

Reihana further mentioned that she is more comfortable with Saindhavi than her own daughter Bhavani Sre.

In a joint statement, the former couple stated it was a mutual decision. "After much reflection, GV Prakash and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage for the sake of our mental peace and preserving our mutual respect for each other. We kindly ask the media, friends and and fans to understand and respect our privacy during this deeply personal transition. cknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support means a lot during this time,” the statement read.

Despite parting ways, the ex-couple lately reunited for a song from Vemal starrer Sir. The song is titled Panangarukka and is composed by Siddhu Kumar with lyrics by Viveka.
