Movie on Dosa King Announced: Meet The Man Behind Saravana Bhavan Murder Case
Directors TJ Gnanavel and Hemanth Rao will helm an upcoming project that is based on the Sarvana Bhawan Murder Case and the infamous Dosa King.
Dosa is a South Indian staple abroad and Rajagopal or Dosa King had a flourishing business that grew in fame and fortune by word of mouth. His rags-to-riches story and generosity were loved by his staff. The director of Vettaiyan, TJ Gnanavel has now announced his next film based on Rajagopal.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to X and wrote, “Serving Masala Dosa and Murder - Director TJ Gnanavel is set to embark on his next Pan Indian film, DOSA KING, produced by #JungleePictures, following the release of #Rajinikanth #AmitabhBachchan and #FahadhFaasil starrer #Vettaiyan.
Dosa King, written by TJ Gnanavel and Hemanth Rao, is inspired by the case that was followed worldwide, showcasing the epic clash of Jeevajothi and P Rajagopal, setting the stage for a battle of ambition, power, and justice.
Junglee Pictures has acquired the exclusive life rights of Jeevajothi Santhakumar. The casting of this magnum opus is to begin soon, the filming is slated to kick off soon and promises to be an out-and-out commercial drama.
Director TJ Gnanavel along with Hemanth Rao will be writing the film. The upcoming project will showcase the battle of power and justice. TJ Gnanavel is best known for his film Jai Bhim starring Suriya in the lead role. Apart from Dosa King project, his another film Vettaiyan is all set for release on October 10.

Hotel Sarvana Bhavan is an iconic restaurant based out of Chennai with branches worldwide. Known for the quality of its food, it became one of the premiere restaurant chains in the world.
But, P Rajagopal aka Dosa King got embroiled in a case of murder. He was found guilty of the murder of one of his employees whose wife he had wanted to marry upon the advice of an astrologer, who had told him that he would prosper if he married her. However, Rajagopal passed away before serving a day in prison.
