Suriya 43: Suriya-Sudha Kongara's film to go on floors in early 2024?
Suriya has a busy 2024 ahead of him, with the actor shuffling between two big banner projects - namely, Siva's Kanguva and Sudha Kongara Prasad's Suriya 43.

Suriya is currently in the midst of filming for upcoming pan-India project, Kanguva. The period drama is taking up much of the actor's time considering his last releases were the Kamal Haasan led Vikram and a guest appearance in Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, both in 2022. There now finally appears to be fresh details of the actor's much anticipated project with Sudha Kongara - tentatively titled Suriya 43.
Suriya 43 to go on floors soon?
Industry tracker Amrutha Bharathi recently shared an update on his X handle detailing that Suriya 43 will soon be commencing filming. The reported date set for the same is January of 2024 with the first few shots being canned at the Madurai American College. Not just this, the post also carried more details regarding the film. For instance, Suriya will reportedly be playing a college student in Suriya 43 for which he will be undergoing intense weight loss. The pretext of the film happens to be the theme of student politics. Additionally, Suriya 43 will also star Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya and Vijay Varma. For the unversed, Suriya and Sudha Kongara have previously collaborated on Soorarai Pottru.

What is next for Suriya?
While the actor preps for his role in Suriya 43, Suriya is also simultaneously shooting for Kanguva. Directed by Siva, the film also stars Disha Patani and Bobby Deol among others. The film will be released across 38 languages to cater to a wide audience.

Recently, there were reports of Suriya sustaining an injury on the sets of the film, investigation into which has slightly delayed Kanguva's progress.
