GOAT Box Office Collection Day 4: Vijay Starrer Mints ₹137.2 Crore In The Opening Weekend

The Greatest of All Time Box Office Collection: Vijay starrer The GOAT has been enjoying its time at the box office since the day it hit the theatres. The movie opened at ₹44 crore, becoming the first Tamil movie of 2024 to have the highest opening. On the second day, the movie witnessed a slight decline in its collection, possibly due to weekday (Friday) but it picked up the pace over the weekend.

Helmed by Venkat Prabhu, the sci-fi thriller witnessed a 2.09 per cent spike on Sunday, minting ₹34.2 crore. In Tamil the movie earned ₹30 crore, Hindi ₹2.7 crore and Telugu ₹1.5 crore, early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Adding the four-day collection, the movie earned ₹137.2 crore in the opening week. Seeing the collection trend, the movie is expected to surpass ₹150 crore mark in the opening week.

The Greatest of All Time had an overall 71.39 per cent Tamil occupancy on Sunday with a maximum reported in Puducherry (99 per cent).

What else do we know about The GOAT?

With no major Tamil movies slated for release in Kollywood over the next couple of weeks, The GOAT is set to enjoy a good run at the box office in India. If the movie maintains its pace at the box office, then it could become one of Vijay’s biggest successes. It is touted to be the second-highest grosser of his career, following Leo.

Apart from Vijay, Venkat Prabhu's directorial also stars Vijay Chandrasekhar, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, Meenakshii Chaudhary and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. It is reported that after around 8-week of theatrical run, the movie will premiere on Netflix, but the makers are yet to confirm the same.
