Anupamaa: Madalsa Sharma Follows Footsteps Of Sudhanshu Pandey, Quits Rupali Ganguly’s Show

Madalsa Sharma, who played the role of Kavya (second wife of Vanraj) in Anupamaa has quit the show. Her decision to leave Rupali Ganguly's show has come days after Sudhanshu Pandey exited from the show.

Why Madalsa Sharma quit Anupamaa?

Madalsa leaving Anupamaa is confirmed by Pinkvilla and her decision was not sudden. The actress shared that it had been in her mind for a while now. "I had been in talks with the makers to give Kavya’s character an edge, as that had gone missing for a while due to multiple tracks going on, and the makers had been trying their best to work something out. Later, Rajan sir and I mutually agreed that I could now move on from Anupamaa and venture out for something new altogether," she said.

For the unversed, Madalsa's character in the show started as a grey shade but gradually began showing her positive side by supporting Anupamaa.

Is Madalsa Sharma quitting the show for Bigg Boss 18?

Reports have been doing the rounds she has been approached by the makers of Bigg Boss 18 for the upcoming season. However, in an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress rubbished the rumours and said these are "purely rumours". As of now, the actress is focusing on doing other projects.

What do we know about Madalsa Sharma?

Madalsa is the daughter of veteran actress Sheela Sharma and film producer and director Subhash Sharma. She married Mahaakshay Chakraborty, son of Mithun Chakraborty in 2018. 

She started her acting career with the Telugu movie Fitting Master, co-starring Allari Naresh. The movie earned mixed reviews and performed well at the box office. It emerged as a moderate commercial success. She has also starred in movies, including Shourya, Samrat & Co, Ram Leela and Kartoot.
