Anupamaa: Titu AKA Kunwar Amar Singh Expresses Shock On Co-star Sudhanshu Pandey's Exit From Show

Vanraj Quits Anupamaa: In a surprising turn of events, Sudhanshu Pandey, who plays the popular character Vanraj Shah in Anupamaa announced his departure from the daily soap during a live Instagram session. This comes as a shock to fans, as Vanraj Shah has been a central character and Anupamaa's ex-husband for the past four years.  However, reports surfaced a day later suggesting that the actor did not quit the show but was actually removed. While the makers have yet not confirmed anything, Kunwar Amar Singh, who portrays Tapish (aka Titu) shared his reaction to the actor’s exit in a recent interview.

Kunwar Amar Singh shared first his reaction to Vanraj’s exit

When asked about his first reaction to Sudhanshu's exit news. Kunwar Amar Singh expressed shock upon hearing about the news. Kunwar Amar Singh said, "It was shocking to know that he is not going to be a part of the show anymore. If you work for long, of course, you create a bond, and the kind of human he is, he is always so warm, welcoming, and helpful, so absolutely I am going to miss him."

He then added, “Especially for me, my entire track was with Vanraj, our fights and conflicts were shown a lot on screen and thus I feel I managed to work very closely with him throughout. We used to have a lot of fun on the sets and I'm definitely missing him.” When asked about his relationship with Sudhanshu, he further described their relationship as a father-son connection. Kunwar Amar said, "We shared a very special bond. At times it was more like a father-son and on other occasions, we were like brothers.

Why did Sudhanshu quit Anupamaa?

On August 27, during his live session on Instagram, Sudhanshu said: "mai pichle chaar saal se roj pahuch raha hun apke ghar ek daily soap ke jariye, ek kirdar play kar raha hu jiske liye mujhe bahut sara pyar or narazgi mili, but wo narazgi bhi ek tarike se pyar hi raha hai. Agar aap naraz na hote mere character dekh kar to mujhe lagta mai sahi tarike se nibha nahi pa raha hoon." (For the last four years, I have been coming to your house every day through a daily soap, playing a character for which I have got lot of love and resentment, but that resentment is also love in a way.If you had not been angry after seeing my character, I would have felt that I am not able to play it properly.)

"I want to tell all of you with a heavy heart that I am now not a part of 'Anupamaa show. Raksha bandhan episode se mai show ka hissa nahi hoon, par itne din beet gaye the or meri audience mujhse naraz na ho ki ye bina bataye kaise chala gaya toh mujhe laga ye meri zimmedari hai ki mai ye baat bataun aap sab ko," he shared. He further said: "I am not playing Vanraj Shah anymore in the show 'Anupamaa'. I am thankful for all the love, respect and support. I apologise for taking this sudden decision.

He added, “Par hame jeevan me aage badhna hi padta hai to I want you all to keep loving me always in my future works. I will play various new characters, will not bore you in one role. Please keep supporting me in future.”

The show is under the banner of Director's Kut Productions with stars like Rupali Ganguly, Madalsa Sharma, and Gaurav Khanna in the lead roles.
