After losing so much, thankfully, the much-needed love is not lost! Giving our loved ones and the concerned people an update as we are unable to reply to everyone personally."
Sharing an update about their situation, she said, "Currently, our financial situation is kind of sorted as we've got some help from a dear friend. We've replaced the rented car, as it was thankfully insured. We'll be heading towards the embassy in another city today to get the emergency certificate sorted."
"Also, we have not lost everything as being reported. We have a few things left that were in the boot of the car. Also, left with our spirits intact! No one can snatch that away," she added.
Divyanka and Vivek Dahiya went to Europe to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They've been sharing many pictures of the beautiful locations they visited. In a sad turn of events, Vivek posted a video on his Instagram stories showing a car with broken windows, announcing the news of a burglary. Unfortunately, during their stay in Florence, Italy, they were robbed. The thieves took items worth ₹10 lakh, including their passports and cash. The couple asked for help to return to India.
Vivek showed the broken glass that proved someone had broken into the vehicle. He said they had left their documents, including passports, cash, luggage, and recent shopping, in the car because the hotel staff assured them it was safe.
Divyanka also posted about the incident on her Instagram stories, saying, "Vivek and I are safe, but most of our essentials, passports, bank cards, and valuable items are gone from our car at a resort. We're just hoping for prompt help from the embassy."
"The car was parked in a secured resort property when the break-in happened. Please don't trouble us with suggestions on how to take care of our belongings. The resort knew we had luggage in the car and assured us it was safe."
