Kush Shah, popular for playing the role of Goli in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently announced his exit from the show after 16 years. Right after the makers officially announced Kush's departure from TMKOC and revealed his replacement, the show's lead actor Dilip Joshi penned a note for the former, looking back at the bond they shared as co-stars for over a decade and a half.
Sharing a clip of them from years back, Dilip wrote, "I've enjoyed every scene that I have done with you. Wishing you the best. May you continue to spread smiles. Looking forward to seeing you go far like a bandook ki 'goli' now," Dilip wrote on social media. Reacting to the wishes, Kush wrote, "Thank you sir this made my day."
While it is not clear why Kush has exited the show, reports doing the rounds have suggested that he plans on pursuing higher studies abroad. A Reddit post had gone viral earlier in which a TMKOC fan had encountered Kush in the US where the latter detailed his intentions to study abroad.
On Friday, TMKOC makers released a video featuring Kush in which he officially announced his exit from the show after 16 years. The entire cast and crew gathered to celebrate Kush's time on set as he got emotional. He then addressed the audiences, saying, “When this show started, when you and I first met, I was very young. You have given me a lot of love since then. And this family has given me as much love as you have given me. I have made a lot of memories here. " He also thanked show producer Asit Kumarr Modi and promised to make the team proud wherever he goes in his life.
