Kasautii Zindagi Kay Director Arrested For Cheating Film Producer Of ₹2.65 Crore

The Mumbai police have arrested a scriptwriter of popular daily television soaps for allegedly cheating a film producer of ₹2.65 crore after violating an agreement with his company. Based on a complaint, a case of cheating has been registered against scriptwriter and director Mahesh Pandey and he was arrested. Among many other shows, Mahesh is known for his work in Kasautii Zindagi Kay, starring Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes.

Did Mahesh Pandey violate terms of agreement?

According to the complainant, producer Jatin Sethi, Mahesh Pandey allegedly violated the terms and conditions of an agreement between their companies. Pandey's firm was allegedly liable to pay the Sethi's company ₹2.65 crore.

In his complaint, Sethi claimed that Pandey was delaying payment, citing various reasons, and created a fake email ID to show that he had sent a few emails to the broadcaster for payment, but it was getting delayed, he said. Pandey was produced before the court, which sent him to judicial custody.
