Paras Chhabra and Mahira Sharma parted ways in April last year. Recently, the actor spoke about the reason behind their breakup for the first time. He shared that it was their "mutual decision" to part ways.

Paras Chhabra opens up about his breakup with Mahira Sharma

During a conversation with Bhavya Singh for her YouTube channel, Paras Chhabra acknowledged the substantial time he and Mahira Sharma spent together, highlighting the ups and downs that are inherent in any relationship. He said that despite facing challenges, they decided to navigate through them for a considerable period of time.

Paras revealed that, after a point, they both reached a point where they realised that they couldn't envision a shared future due to "compatibility issues." He expressed that while everything was seemingly good, a future together seemed incompatible, prompting them to take the difficult step of ending their relationship. He further added that the happiness diminished over time for both him and Mahira. The actor also said that the realisation that neither was content being with the other prompted them to engage in open communication and ultimately make the challenging decision to break up.

He said, "Har ek ki life mei acha bura hotai hai, hum dono ne donno jee liye. Paar humme yeh samjh mei aagaya ki hum dono ek dusre ke liye compatible nehi hai, future ke liye."
