Despite a successful career in television, she wonders why she isn't offered opportunities in the world of movies. The actress also expressed her desire for a return to the silver screen.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sudha Chandran acknowledged the significant role that television has played in her career which gave her fame, financial success, and a devoted fan base. She stated, "I cannot ditch my television while waiting for films. When I am getting those roles, fame, love, money, and mass following, why would I wait for films? I have been in this industry for the last 40 years. Someone who wanted to offer me work, would have offered. Why was I not offered a film despite doing a hit Malamal Weekly?”
Sudha Chandran on having a 'filmy keeda'
In the same interview, Sudha Chandran admitted to having a lingering "filmy keeda" or a passion for the world of movies. She said that she is hopeful and eager to make a return to the big screen, even though the film offers have been sparse.
When asked why she hasn't been cast in movies, Chandran responded with candor, "Don't ask me. Ask the producers and directors who are not casting me." She said that she is content with her television career but remains perplexed by the lack of film opportunities despite her talent.

The actress' career began in the world of cinema, with her debut in Naache Mayuri. However, after this initial success, she found herself overlooked by film producers and directors. This experience prompted her to shift her focus to television.
She shared, "When I watch some films, I wish I would have played that role. Andar jo filmy keeda hai vo toh nahi marta (that urge for movies doesn't die)."
