In the latest news surrounding the show, Mandar Chandwadkar has addressed the rumours of him leaving it after 16 years.

Is Mandar Chandwadkar leaving Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah?

Mandar Chandwadkar shared how a video is going viral, with thumbnails over it reading 'remove the bullet', 'tell the whole truth of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma', 'I will quit the show' and 'Daya Bhabhi will never come'. 

The actor took to Instagram to share a video and wrote, "Guys please do not believe in rumours..and please do not spread it..TMKOC show have been entertaining all of you since 2008 and it will continue the same in coming years..just wanted to convey the truth so posted this reel…. lots of gratitude and lots of love..#tmkoc." He added that he feels sad that such videos have lakhs of views.

Mandar Chandwadkar reacts to the rumours

Mandar said that he was shocked to see the video. He clarified further that the pictures used in the video were from his livestream which he did on the occasion when the show completed 16 years. He called the news of leaving the show a rumour. He clearly said that he is neither leaving the show nor exposing anyone. 

When reports of Abdul aka Sharad Sankla quitting the show surfaced

Not only Mandar Chandwadkar, but Sharad Shankla was also rumoured to be leaving TMKOC recently. Later, it turned out that the reports were all untrue. The actor himself then confirmed that he will continue to feature in the show for as long as it runs. He said, “Aisa nai hai... Audience ko galat news jaa rahi hai... Yeh bas show ka ek track hai... “.
