Vikas Sethi, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Actor, Dies At 48

Vikas Sethi, who ruled the Hindi small screens in the 2000s with his shows Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, and Kasautii Zindagi Kay, died on Sunday 8. The actor reportedly passed away due to cardiac arrest. According to Telly Chakkar, the actor died in his sleep.

Who was Vikas Sethi?

The actor began his career with an adult film Oops and went on to play supporting roles in several hit TV shows and Bollywood films. His notable TV appearances include Kahiin To Hoga, as Swayam Shergill and in the Indian soap opera Kasautii Zindagi Kay, where he plays the role of Prem Basu. He has appeared in the reality-based show Nach Baliye 4, with his then-wife, Amita.

Apart from TV, he has also appeared in Bollywood movies, including Deewaanapan and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He was last seen in Telugu action drama iSmart Shankar (2019), starring  Ram Pothineni in the lead role.

In 2021, the actor underwent surgery for the reason better known to him. Taking to his Instagram handle, he shared a video of himself sharing that despite the doctor advising him a bed rest, he will come back stronger. The same year, he welcomed twin babies with his wife Jhanvi Sethi and named them Rudraveer and Rajveer.

His last Instagram post is a video with his mother. The actor celebrated Mother’s Day in a traditional way. He captioned the post as “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY.. ❤❤ MOM LOVE YOU."

The actor is survived by his wife Jhnavi and twin sons.
