Devara Box Office Collection Day 4: Jr NTR Starrer Registers Steep Dip After Bumper Opening Weekend

Devara Day 4 Collection: The Jr NTR-Saif Ali Khan starrer hit the big screen on September 27. The actioner also features Janvhi Kapoor, marking her Telugu debut. While Devara Part 1 opened to a staggering collection at the box office, the Telugu flick could not pull audiences to theatres on the first Monday after release.

Devara registers a massive decline in business on Day 4

Devara Part 1 opened to a staggering ₹82.5 Crore at the domestic box office. The film continued to have a dream run at the ticketing counter in the subsequent weekend. On Saturday the Jr NTR film grossed ₹38.2 crore. This was followed by Sunday on which the movie raked ₹39.9 crore, as per Sacnilk.

On the first Monday of release, Devara has minted ₹12.5 crore as per rough data provided by Sacnilk. The film has witnessed a drop of over 68% on Monday. After a four-day theatrical run, the movie has amassed a total of ₹173.1 crore. The coming week remains crucial to assessing whether the Janhvi Kapoor -Jr NTR film can be withheld at the box office before major releases like Jigra and Vettaiyan hit the big screens.

Devara Hindi also registers a decline in collections

Devara has hit the big screens in five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The film's cast features Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles, making it advantageous for the film in the Hindi-speaking belt as well. While the Telugu version of the movie remains the biggest contributor to business, the Hindi version comes in second place.

On the opening day, Devara Hindi minted a decent ₹7.5 crore. It registered a slight growth on Saturday with ₹9 crore in collection followed by an even better Sunday with ₹10.25 crore. The film, however, saw a dip on Monday with only ₹4 crore collected from the Hindi version, as per Sacnilk. The Janhvi Kapoor starrer has minted ₹31 crores in Hindi, making it to the list of the actress' top three grossers of all time.
