Big Buzz/ Devi Sri Prasad shares big update about Pushpa 2, talks about feeling pressure to create songs

Devi Sri Prasad, who recently won the National Film Award for his music in Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise, opened up if he is feeling pressured to compose the songs for the sequel. He added that fans will have huge expectations of having a bigger song than Oo Antava, so he is trying not to take any pressure. Pushpa songs such as Srivalli, Oo Antava, Saami Saami, and Eyy Bidda Ye Mera Adda, have been a great hit in the music world. Not just Indians, but people across the world have been dancing to the tunes of the song.

Devi Sri Prasad under pressure to compose Pushpa 2 songs?

Speaking to DNA, the music composer said that he never feels pressured and advised if one feels pressured they should stop working. He continued that one should never feel pressured as it will burden them and might hamper their work.

He added, "I enjoy making music. Some people believe that when they get honoured, they should change the path of working. That's wrong. All these days, you have been responsible, you have worked with dedication. Even after getting awarded with such an honour, you're still the same. So it's better to surrender to your work."

Devi talks about fans having huge expectations from Pushpa 2

In the same interview, the composer said that after the hit song Oo Antava, fans must be expecting a bigger song than it is in the sequel. Recalling a similar situation that happened during the making of Arya 2, starring Allu Arjun, Devi Prasad said, "When I was working on Arya, no one expected Aa Ante Amalapuram would become so popular. Similarly, in Arya 2, the producers wanted a bigger hit than Aa Ante Amalapuram. But I didn't take the pressure, and Allu Arjun supported me. Then I came up with Ringa Ringa, which became a bigger hit than Aa Ante Amalapuram." He concluded that if one is true to the purpose, then things will fall into place.

The composer concluded by sharing an update about Pushpa 2 and said that the music is coming out great. 

He added that Sukumar (writer-director) has written a "mindblowing script" and it has taken the franchise to another level. "You can expect a phenomenon at the box office," Devi concluded.
