Websites using my name to boost their relevance: Dil Raju

Speaking at a promotional event for a small-scale Telugu movie, Dil Raju stated that this is not the first time he has seen such controversy over Sankranthi releases. The noted film producer, who is also the President of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, added, “I have been seeing these speculations since the past 8-9 years. Yesterday, a star like Chiranjeevi spoke at a press event, expressing his faith in me as a film producer, as a wise judge of these issues. However, earlier today, some websites twisted Chiranjeevi’s words, using it as a diatribe against me. These websites continue to use my name to increase the importance of their own online publications.”

Dil Raju further warned those publications to not publish anything without verifying from him or his team, or without due research and diligence. During the said statement, Dil Raju also called out a publication which had claimed that Dil Raju was granting a special release for Tamil film Ayalaan. Raju said, “Who told you that? Do you know that Ayalaan too is not getting any release in the two Telugu states for this week?”

Recently, there were also a few reports of Dil Raju being impartial and using his power to allot more theatrical space to Guntur Kaaram, neglecting a film like Hanu Man.

While Guntur Kaaram hits the theatres on Januuary 12, clashing with Hanu Man on the said date, followed by the releases of Saindhav and Naa Saami Ranga on January 14 respectively.
