Game Changer writer Karthik Subbaraj discloses details about Ram Charan, Kiara Advani's film

The S Shakar helmed Game Changer is easily one of the most awaited films currently in the lineup of big-banner releases in the country. The film has seen a lot of back and forth with leaked visuals, songs as well as cancelled schedules all leading to a potential delay in the film's release. Writer Karthik Subbaraj in a recent interview, opened up about the film's plot, shedding some more light on this S Shankar film that largely appears to be shrouded in mystery.

Karthik Subbaraj dishes details on Game Changer's plot


In an interview with Galatta Plus, Karthik Subbaraj opened up about the film's plot, shedding light on the highly-guarded Ram Charan project. As per Subbaraj's revelations, Game Changer will have an overarching political theme. Subbaraj shared how the vision for the film needed a hefty name to shoulder its responsibilities - not just on the acting front but also in the director's chair.

The writer-director was also humble enough to admit that he himself was not ready to direct such a somber and all-out political topic. This is also the reason he went with the story to S Shankar who is now helming the film. Subbaraj further revealed how while he may have scripted the story for Game Changer, it was S Shankar who came up with the detailed screenplay for it. When asked if sharing the reigns with another director bothers him, Subbaraj said, “No, no. I am very happy and all...”

S Shankar has two political films on his plate


S Shankar is currently dividing his time between Game Changer as well as the Kamal Haasan led Indian 2. While the plot for Game Changer has only just been touched upon, Indian 2 has long been known to be a political thriller owing to the fact that it is the sequel to S Shankar's 1996 film Indian.
