Gangs Of Godavari Box Office Collection Day 1: Vishwak Sen Starrer Earns ₹8.2 Crore Worldwide

Vishwak Sen starrer rural set action drama Gangs Of Godavari hit the big screens on May 31. The HIT actor has been essaying different roles of late and was seen playing an aghora in his last cinematic outing Gaami. Meanwhile, Gangs Of Godavari released after a long delay and is off to a decent start at the Telugu box office. The last hit from Tollywood was Tillu Square and since Gangs Of Godavari has received mixed to negative reviews, it will be interesting to see if audiences turn up to watch the film in cinema halls.

Gangs Of Godavari day 1 box office collection

Gangs of Godavari collected ₹8.2 crore gross on its opening day worldwide. In India, the film released in Telugu and minted ₹5.2 crore gross on day 1. The film's nett collection is a little more than Vishwak's last release Gaami, which collected ₹4 crore on its opening day in India. On social media, the film has received mixed reviews.

The makers, Sithara Entertainment shared the official day 1 figures on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "A Smashing 𝟖.𝟐 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐞 opening day worldwide gross for our #GangsofGodavari 🔥🔥🔥 At the box office, numbers matter the most and speak the loudest. Going Houseful everywhere, grab your tickets now (sic)!"

What is Gangs Of Godavari about?

The film follows the journey of Lankala Ratnam (Vishwak Sen) who aspires to be successful. He becomes an MLA and makes enemies on the way. The film follows his transformation journey and his rivalries. The movie also stars Anjali, Neha Shetty, Nassar, P Sai Kumar and Hyper Aadi in supporting roles.The film is directed by  Krishna Chaitanya. The makers and Vishwak have confirmed that a sequel to Gangs Of Godavari will soon follow.
