Telugu cinema has a series of films that will release on the auspicious occasion of  Makar Sankranti. Makar Sankranti,  marks not only a celestial transition but also an opportunity to attract the  audiences across the Telugu-speaking regions. As fans are eagerly waiting for the best Telugu films, that resonates with the spirit of the season, the makers are all set to release the best movies to entertain the movie goers.

Guntur Kaaram

Guntur Kaaram, an upcoming Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, and produced by S. Radha Krishna through Haarika & Hassine Creations. It stars Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishna, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, and Brahmanandam.  This movie will release on 12th January, 2024. The movie  is mad eon the budget of budget of Rs 200 crores.

Saindhav

Saindhav is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. The film produced by Venkat Boyanapalli, under Niharika Entertainment. Th  movie is starred by Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role alonside Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arya, Andrea Jeremiah, Shraddha Srinath and Ruhani Sharma. Saindhav is scheduled to be released in theatres worldwide on 13 January 2024, coinciding with Sankranti.

Family Star

Family Star is a movie  starring actors Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. The movie was initially set to release on  January 2024 but will now be pushed to a new date due to clashes with other Telugu film releases during the Sankranti season. The shooting for the film is ye to be completed, leading to way to delay in the post-production work.

Eagle

Eagle is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by cinematographer Karthik Gattamneni, who also previously directed Surya vs Surya. It is produced by T. G. Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla, under People Media Factory. The release date of 13th January 2024 (India).  The movie  is starred by Ravi Teja, Anupama Parameswaran and Navdeep.

Naa Saami Ranga

Naa Saami Ranga is a upcoming Indian Telugu-language period action drama film directed by Vijay Binni with original story by Joshiy. It starred Nagarjuna, Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun, and Ashika Ranganath in the titular characters. The original soundtrack of the film is composed by M. M. Keeravani. Others are playing  the supporting characters in the film. The period  action drama is set for its release on Sankranti 2024. Vijay Binni is serving as the film's director.  This film was a remake of malayalam movie Porinju Mariyam Jose 2019 movie, stars Joju George, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod.

Hanu-Man

Hanu Man, an upcoming Indian Telugu-language superhero film written and directed by Prasanth Varma and produced by Niranjan Reddy Kandagatla under Primeshow Entertainment. It features an ensemble cast of Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Raj Deepak Shetty and Vinay Rai.  The movie  will release on 12 January 2024 (India). This movie is made on the budget of Rs 12 crores.

Captain Miller

Captain Miller, an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action adventure film directed by Arun Matheswaran, and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Starred by Dhanush in the title role, with Priyanka Arul Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken, and Edward Sonnenblick in the supporting roles. The movie will release on 12th January 2024. The film was tentatively titled D47, being the actor's 47th film in a leading role. In April 2022, several sources reported that the film was titled Captain Miller and that it would be set in the 1930s.

Lal Salaam

Lal Salaam, an upcoming Indian Tamil-language sports drama film directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions. The movie will release  on  January 12, 2024.  Rajinikanth in a cameo appearance, while Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth play the main roles, along with an ensemble supporting cast including Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, K. S. Ravikumar and Thambi Ramaiah.

Ayalaan

Ayalaan, an upcoming Indian Tamil-language science fiction film is directed by R. Ravikumar and produced by Kotapadi J. Rajesh under KJR Studios. The film  is starred by Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran and Bala Saravanan, while Siddharth voices an alien. The movie will release on 12th January 2024 (India).
