The official post, announcing the release of the third single, read, "NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS get an upgrade with the MASSIEST version of Super (star) @UrstrulyMahesh Presenting the high-voltage spicy mass number #KurchiMadathapetti to all of you" It must be noted that the release of the third single comes in the aftermath of a controversy surrounding the film's music.

Mahesh Babu reportedly had doubts about Guntur Kaaram's music

Conjecture about Mahesh Babu being unsure about Guntur Kaaram's music, surfaced shortly after the release of the film's second single, Oh My Baby. The song received a widespread negative rsponse, so much so, that producer Naga Vamsi and lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry felt the need to jump to the song's defense. Naga Vamsi's response in this regard was considered abrasive prompting the producer to also share a cryptic apology of sorts - the series of controversy-evoking posts were later deleted.

Additionally, while the music for Guntur Kaaram has been directed by Thaman S, the team had strongly considered some guest music directors to collaborate for the album. However, the samples sent by those under consideration, were rejected, with the responsibility for the entire album being handed back to Thaman. Recent reports have suggested that Mahesh Babu had still been in two minds about the film's songs. Guntur Kaaram will be releasing in theatres on January 12.
