Is Prabhas starrer Salaar Prashanth Neel's longest film to date? Here's the truth

Prabhas starrer Salaar is nearing the release date and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to keep the audience hooked. The film, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, has passed the censor formalities and got an A certificate. Now, the reports are doing the rounds that have the longest runtime compared to director Prashanth Neel's previous blockbuster films.

What is Salaar's runtime?

Prashanth Neel is known for giving blockbuster action films to the Indian cinema. Now, as he is gearing up for his fourth film, the reports suggest that Salaar's runtime inches close to 3 hours in total. After the censor formalities, the final runtime is locked to 2 hours and 55 minutes which is quite lengthy compared to K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2 hours 48 minutes), K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2 hours 35 minutes) and Ugramm (2 hours 26 minutes).

Meanwhile, it is not the first time, a Prabhas starrer has got an A certificate. Earlier in 2013, the actor's film Mirchi, co-starring Anushka Shetty, got an A certificate and it changed Prabhas' career trajectory. The film opened to positive reviews from critics and became one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of that year.

Prithviraj Sukumaran wraps up dubbing for Salaar

On Sunday, the actor shared a long note informing the fans that he is done with the final dubbing corrections. He has dubbed the films in all five regional languages - Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. He has also shared photos of him from the dubbing studio.

An excerpt from his note read, "I have had the privilege of lending my own voice for all my characters across various languages I’ve worked in over the years. I have even dubbed for some of my characters in multiple languages. But to be dubbing for the same character, in the same film in 5 different languages is a first for me."

Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire will hit the theatres worldwide on December 22. It will be clashing with Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki at the box office.
