Janhvi Kapoor's photo as a village girl from sets of Jr NTR starrer Devara goes viral

Janhvi Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space with Jr NTR in her upcoming film Devara. The actress recently shared a behind-the-scenes image from the sets of the movie. It featured her in a village belle avatar.

Janhvi took to her Instagram handle on Thursday and shared her first look from Devara. The actress was dressed in a green blouse with a blue saree. Her eyes are rimmed in kohl and she is wearing a pendant, hoop earrings, nosepin, bangles, and a bindi on her forehead. In the caption, she wrote, “I miss the set, the team, and being Thangam,” along with the hashtag #Devara.

Devara is to release in two parts 

Director Siva Kortala had earlier revealed that Devara will be split into two parts, due to its massive runtime, its intricate storytelling, and its overall aesthetic canvas which was meticulously detailed, making just one part a half presentation. As the story kept on getting bigger and more detailed with its exploring canvas, Kortala ended up making the decision to turn the film into a two-part film so as to do justice to the writing.

Devara unfolds a compelling and powerful narrative centered around the forgotten coastal lands and is being produced by Yuvasudha Arts in collaboration with NTR Arts.  

Jr NTR plays the titular character, while Jahnvi essays the role of the female lead. The antagonist in the film is played by Saif Ali Khan. Devara is produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Harikrishna, with music by Anirudh Ravinchaner. 

The release date of the film (April 5) coincides with the festival of Ugadi. This is the second collaboration between Jr NTR and director Siva. They previously worked together on Janatha Garage (2016).
