Jani Master: Movies, Family, Political Career Of Choreographer Turned 'Sexual Predator'

Jani Master aka Shaik Jani Basha is one of the most renowned choreographers in the film industry. His name has been associated with chartbusters like Butta Bomma, Aayi Nahi, Rowdy Baby and Kavaalaa among others. However, the choreographer has now been taken in remand by the police for raping a 21-year-old female colleague. After a 15-year-old career and a national award win, the choreographer now faces a jail term. 

Jani Master's journey from top choreographer to rape accused 

Jani Master is one of the highest-paid choreographers having worked across industries. He regularly shared updates of his works and BTS moments from film sets on his Instagram account highlighting a close bond with the actors. Sexual assault accused Shaik Jani Basha aka Jani Master was born on July 2, 1982, in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. He began his career as a dancer in Telugu films before landing his first choreography role in the 2009 film Drona.

He then worked with Ram Charan in the 2012 film Racha. He has worked with others who's who of Tollywood including Jr NTR, Allu Arjun , Ravi Teja, Pawan Kalyan and Ram Pothineni. The choreographer shares a good bond with Ram Charan and has also dedicated a song to him. He is also on board to work with the RRR actor again in Game Changer.

Jani Master won his maiden National Award in 2024 for Best Choreography of the song Megam Karukkatha from Thiruchitrambalam.

Jani Master's stint in Bollywood 

The choreographer Jani Master first worked in Bollywood in 2015 for the film Jai Ho. He earned several awards for his work in the film. He has also choreographed Seeti Maar featuring Disha Patani and several songs from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Most recently, he has worked on the Shahid Kapoor-Kriti Sanon's blockbuster song Laal Peeli Akhiyaan from Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha, Akshay Kumar 's Do You Know From Khel Khel Mein and Aayi Nahi from Shraddha Kapoor starer Stree 2.

Jani Master's personal life 

Jani Master tied the knot with Ayesha in 2010. The couple reportedly has two children - a daughter and a son. While Jani is boastful about his work life on social media, he seldom shares photos of his wife and children. His wife, Ayesha is a classical dancer by profession.

Jani Master's political connection

The choreographer worked closely with Pawan Kalyan's political party Jana Sena Party. He joined the party's campaign in January this year. However, as the sexual allegation charges came to light, the parry issued a statement distancing itself from the accused. He has been asked to stay away from party activities by the leadership.
