Mahesh Babu lauds Bobby Deol after Animal trailer: You blew my mind

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is all set to make its theatrical debut on December 1. Ahead of its release, a grand pre-release event of the upcoming film was held in Hyderabad on Monday. In addition to the entire cast, the evening was attended by SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu. Speaking at the event, the Maharshi star heaped praises on the ‘Animal Ka Enemy’ Bobby Deol.

At the promotional event for Animal, Mahesh Babu couldn't contain his admiration for Bobby Deol's role. As the trailer unfolds, Bobby Deol's presence escalates, eventually stealing the spotlight and setting the stage for a clash with Ranbir Kapoor.

Mahesh Babu, visibly impressed with his appearance in the trailer, said, “Bobby, you come in the end, and you blew my mind - my phone just dropped. The transformation is stunning, and as an audience, it's very inspiring for us. I can't wait to watch you on the big screen.”

The film is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s third film after Arjun Reddy and the Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh, both of which were blockbusters. 

What can we expect from Animal?  

An ode to his strained childhood, Ranbir plays the role of Arjun Singh in Animal. His character always idolised his father but rarely got anything from him. Though Balbir does love his son, his work as a businessman keeps him occupied. Neglected though still a loving son, as he grows up Arjun has a family of his own with his wife Geetanjali (Rashmika Mandanna).

Visiting his father one day at the hospital when he was shot, Arjun vows to exact vengeance on the one who shot him and embarks on a full-on bloodbath. Written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie fuses elements typical of both South Indian and Bollywood films.

Releasing on December 1, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, and Suresh Oberoi in supporting roles.
