Makers of Akhil Akkineni's next film to go all-out despite Agent's colossal box office failure

Akhil Akkineni faced a major professional set back earlier this year. The actor's last release, Agent, was a box office debacle - a rather unexpected trajectory considering the hype and promotions surrounding the film. This was also perceptually the reason behind the delay in the announcement of his next project. However, things appear to be looking up for the actor.

Akhil Akkineni's next to be a big-budget film

Akhil Akkineni was all set up to announce his next big project following the release of the much-awaited film, Agent. However, the announcement stood delayed for a considerable amount of time leading many to assume that the project had been called off, owing to the fact that Agent was a box office dud. 

However, if source-based reports are to be believed, the official film announcement with UV Creations is gearing up for a drop next month. Not just this, the makers of Akhil Akkineni's next project are apparently betting big on the film performing well. To ensure the same, they have reportedly decided to go all out mounting the film on a massive budget. The budget in question, is said to be fixed at a 100 crores.

Akhil Akkineni has addressed Agent's failure in the past

Post the release of the film followed by its poor reception, Akhil Akkineni took to his Instagram handle to share a note penned in ode to the audience, who kept their faith, as well the team of the film who gave their all. The note acknowledged the fact that the film did not quite pan out as per expectations while keeping an optimistic view for the future.

The note read, "To my dearest fans and all my well-wishers. I want to sincerely thank the cast and crew of Agent who dedicated their lives to see our film come to life. While we tried our level best, the film unfortunately didn't translate the way we wished it would on the screen and we could not deliver a good film for you. A special thanks to my producer Anil garu who was my biggest support system. Thank you to all the distributors who believed in our film and also the media who supported us immensely. The love and energy you all give me is the reason I work and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. I will come back stronger for all those who believe in me. Yours faithfully Akhil Akkineni."
