Nagarjuna Apologises After His Bodyguard Pushes A Specially-Abled Fan: This Shouldn’t Have Happened

Nagarjuna Akkineni is one of the superstars of Telugu cinema who has given numerous hit movies. The actor often makes the headlines owing to his movies, but this time he is in the news for all the wrong reasons. A video of the actor is going viral on the Internet that shows him exiting an airport premises when his bodyguard pushed one of his fans, who seemed specially-abled. This didn't go down well with the netizens and they have slammed the actor for not taking any action against his bodyguard. Now, Nagarjuna has issued an apology and clarified that he was unaware of the incident.

Taking to his X handle, Nagarjuna shared the viral clip and wrote, "This just came to my notice. This shouldn’t have happened!! I apologise to the gentleman and will take necessary precautions that it will not happen in the future!!" In the viral video, a fan can be seen approaching Nagarjuna for a selfie. However, he walks through without noticing his bodyguards pushing his fan, making the person stumble and fall. Dhanush, who was also seen next to him did notice the incident and even stopped to check on him.

Soon after the video went viral, users of Reddit harshly reacted. A user wrote, "He is disabled. How much humiliated he must have felt." Another wrote, "This is heartbreaking. That man didn’t deserve such manhandling." Another wrote, "There are better ways to handle fans who come too close to the celeb."

 

What's next for Nagarjuna?

Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga released earlier this year and earned mixed reviews from the audience. Next, the actor will be seen in Dhanush starrer Kubera, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh. The film is jointly produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd banners. The movie is a pan-India multilingual film, which will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
