Prithiviraj Sukumaran's Telugu debut
Many are misconstruing Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran's work in Salaar to be his first original Telugu project - not considering the Telugu dubbed versions of his films. However, the actor and director had marked his acting debut in Tollywood, way back in 2005. The film in question, was Telugu venture Police Police.

Directed by VK Prakash, the film was produced by P Balachandran and Shyam Krishna Saran. The film also starred Indrajith Sukumaran besides Prithviraj Sukumaran with both of them playing cops who are rather different from each other in demeanour. Though the film flew under the radar, one cannot overlook the fact that it did in fact mark the actor's descent into Tollywood with a full-fledged Telugu film.

Prithviraj Sukumaran pens note on his Salaar dubbing experience
Come December 22, Salaar will be releasing in theatres worldwide, across five languages, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Post concluding his dubbing, Sukumaran shared a note reflecting what an experience it was dubbing for the same character, five times over, across five languages.
The caption to his post read, " Final dubbing corrections done. I have had the privilege of lending my own voice for all my characters across various languages I’ve worked in over the years. I have even dubbed for some of my characters in multiple languages. But to be dubbing for the same character, in the same film in 5 different languages is a first for me. Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and of course Malayalam. And what a film to do it for! Deva and Varadha will meet you in theatres across the world on the 22nd of December 2023! "
