Prabhas rejected THESE popular films that eventually starred Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR

Prabhas started this year with a box office dud after his movie Adipurush fell flat to controversies. However, this week, the actor jumped back and reportedly gave the biggest opener of Indian cinema - Salaar. The Telugu star had a glorious filmography so far but do you know he could have had more feathers in his cap?

Movies rejected by Prabhas

There are many movies dropped by Prabhas including the following six that eventually went to shape the fate of other actors.

1. Naayak

Director VV Vinayak initially wanted to rope in Prabhas for Naayak but the actor was occupied with Mirchi making him step back. It was then rejected by Pawan Kalyan and eventually Ram Charan agreed to play the lead.

2. Arya

This Allu Arjun starrer was first supposed to star Prabhas alongside Ravi Teja and Nithiin but unfortunately, things couldn’t work out. Arya’s director Sukumar had his eyes on Prabhas for a long time but his busy schedule made him rope in Allu.

3. Simhadri

Not many know but much before Prabhas and SS Rajamouli collaborated on the superhit Chatrapathi and the Baahubali franchise, the duo were initially supposed to work in Simhadri. Prabhas had reportedly turned down the movie by saying that he didn’t fit into the mass cinema like Simhadri.

4. Okkadu

Okkadu emerged as Mahesh Babu’s shot to overnight stardom but many don’t know that the movie’s director Gunasekhar first offered it to Prabhas. News18 once reported that the Telugu star rejected Okkadu because he thought that the storyline was a bit risky.

5. Oosaravelli

This Jr NTR starrer action thriller was also first offered to Prabhas but the actor rejected the movie for unknown reasons. Directed by Surender Reddy, Oosaravelli also starred Tamannaah Bhatia and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.

6. Brindavanam

This movie also went into Jr NTR’s kitty. The reason why Prabhas turned down Vamshi Paidipally’s Brindavanam was because he was super busy shooting for Darling and Mr Perfect vigorously.
