Not just Santanu and Kamal Haasan, but RRR director Mani Ratnam and his wife actress Suhasini Maniratnam were also a part of the intimate bash.

Shruti Haasan posted a photo featuring all of them celebrating the new year with sweets and cakes. Dropping a photo with her father Kamal Haasan, she wrote, "Love you lotsly pa." The father-daughter duo donned all-black outfits. Kamal Haasan also posed with his daughter's boyfriend Santanu in one of the pictures. Currently, Kamal Haasan is gearing up for his upcoming film with Mani Ratnam, Thug Life.

However, the couple took to their social media handle to rubbish the rumours of them secretly getting married.

Shruti Haasan took to her Instagram handle and wrote, "So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So, people who don’t know me at all, please calm down." Soon after, her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika also shared a note that read, "You’ll need to calm down! We are not married. Individuals who don’t know us, please stop spreading rumors."
