Salaar: Prashanth Neel gives a nod to KGF star Yash in Prabhas starrer

The much-awaited Prabhas starrer Salaar finally hit the theatres today, opening to a great response from cine-goers. If the early reports are anything to go by, Salaar is a worthy follow-up to Prashanth Neel’s previous films KGF 1 and KGF 2, which not just put Kannada cinema on the forefront of Indian Cinema box office, but also made its male lead Yash a household name. Now, fans were amazed to see Rocking star Yash being part of the credit list in Salaar as well.

Rumours were abuzz about Yash’s cameo in Salaar

Earlier, there were reports that Rocking star Yash would be making a cameo in Salaar. There were also rumours that director Prashanth Neel is building a cinematic universe with Salaar, and that KGF belongs to the same universe. While Prashanth Neel refuted the rumours of the cinematic universe rumours, he did not offer any comment on Yash’s cameo.

Well, now Yash’s connection to Salaar is clear and out for the world to see. At the beginning of their film, the makers of Salaar placed a separate thank you slide dedicated to Yash, thanking the KGF star. Although the exact reason for this gratitude note is not clear yet, a section of fans are speculating that Salaar’s team note for Yash goes for his presence at the film’s muhurtham shot. 

KGF star Yash’s next with Moothon filmmaker Geetu Mohandas

Meanwhile, Yash’s upcoming film with Geetu Mohandas recently had its title announcement. The film is titled Toxic. 

On the other hand, Salaar has opened to thunderous response at the box office worldwide. Reportedly, the film could garner approximately ₹ 175 crore gross at global box office on day 1 alone.
