Salaar box office: Prabhas becomes only South Indian actor with three $5 million grossers in the US

Salaar is going all guns blazing at the domestic and international box office. In the US, the craze for the Prabhas starrer was on a high and the Prashanth Neel directorial has already achieved a massive feat in the North American market. Prabhas has become the only South Indian actor with three films that have minted $5 million or more in the US.

Salaar takes US box office by storm

Salaar pre-sales for the premiere were way over $2.5 million mark, making it the biggest for any film this year. In just three days of its release, the film has crossed the $5 million mark in the US. With this, Prabhas has become the first South Indian actor to have three $5 million grossers in the USA and Canada. Baahubali and Baahubali 2 are the two other Prabhas movies before Salaar that crossed the $5 million milestone in this region.

Meanwhile, Salaar is also the 4th Telugu movie to enter the $5 million club in the US, apart from the Baahubali franchise and RRR. It is safe to say that with Salaar, Prabhas has made a comeback at the box office.

Salaar collection in India

According to Sacnilk, Salaar has collected ₹211 crore in India in all languages and ₹243.8 crore worldwide. The Telugu market has been the major contributor to its box office business. The Hindi market has also shown good trending for the Prabhas starrer with three-day collection standing at ₹53.86 crore.

While the film earned  ₹15.75 crore and ₹16.35 crore respectively on its day 1 and 2, on Sunday, the film's business in the North saw a healthy jump as it minted over ₹21 crore, taking its 1st weekend business to over ₹53 crore in Hindi alone.
