RC 16 update: Shiva Rajkumar confirms joining the cast of Ram Charan's upcoming sports drama

Ram Charan is one of the most versatile and among the most bankable actors in the country. After the RRR success, the actor is currently busy with his next film Game Changer which is directed by S Shankar. The director is also marking his Telugu debut with the film. After Game Changer, Ram Charan will be joining hands with director Buchi Babu Sana for a movie which is tentatively titled RC16.

Shiva Rajkumar to join RC16

Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar has now confirmed in an interview that he will be also be starring in the movie and portraying a prominent role in the film. According to Telugu Cinema, the actor in a conversation with an interviewer shared that he has signed two films, one is in Tamil and the other one is in the Telugu language. "The Telugu film features Ram Charan," he quoted. 

When he was asked to reveal the director's name of the project, Shiva Rajkumar affirmed that it would be helmed by the director of Uppena. Notably, Buchi Babu Sana has directed Uppena which confirms that the actor will be sharing screen space with Ram Charan in RC 16.

The team of RC 16 have been tight-lipped about the details. The film is reportedly to be a rural sports drama in which Ram Charan will be seen in a raw and rustic avatar. Director Buchi Babu Sana in a previous interview had mentioned that he has been working on the script for around four years and also showed his confidence in delivering a blockbuster.

As per reports of Telugu123, the film features Sai Pallavi and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead alongside Ram Charan. The team has yet to officially confirm it. The makers confirmed a while ago that music maestro AR Rahman will be composing the music of the film. 

Meanwhile, Shiva Rajkumar will be next seen in Arun Matheswarna's directorial Captain Miller which features Dhanush in the lead. The film is scheduled to release in the cinemas on January 12.
