Venkatesh has enjoyed a strong 2023 in terms of his work, despite not having featured in very many titles through the year. Recently, a special event was hosted in lieu of celebrating the veteran actor's body of work. Addressing the crowd at the same event, Venkatesh greatly appreciated Chiranjeevi for all the personal support lent to him by the latter.

Venkatesh addressed the crowd, reminiscing about his career milestones. He had a special anecdote to share about Chiranjeevi in particular - whose comeback with 2017 release Khaidi No 50, Venkatesh says, is what inspired him to give his career another shot while he was on the cusp of quitting. He said, "I would’ve gone to the Himalayas if not for Chiranjeevi...Balakrishna and Nagarjuna also continued to inspire me with their work. My life would’ve been different if not for them."
