Salaar producer reveals reason behind film's new release date
At a recent media interaction, Salaar producer Vijay Kiragandur opened up on the delayed release date fiasco which Salaar found itself embroiled in, earlier this year in September. Revealing how there was much work left to be done on the film even as September came to a close, the release date was postponed. December 22, Kiragandur revealed, was picked due to astrological reasons.

He added, "That’s the reason we didn’t prepone the film despite knowing that Dunki and Aquaman are releasing a day earlier. There were lots of works pending due to which we couldn’t make it for September 28. We then looked at various dates till May 2024, but we felt December 22 was the best date. Also, it is the time more people will flock to theatres as it is the Christmas and New Year season."
Salaar is gearing up for a big box-office clash
Salaar will be clashing at the box office on with Rajkumar Hirani's ensemble starrer, Dunki. Not just this, the latest installment of Aquaman will also be hitting theatres on December 21. Vijay Kirangandur however, is not worried about box office competition.
