Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was recently sentenced to ten years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot. Recently, Tory came forward and released a statement on his social media handles. He claimed that he has been wrongfully convicted by his fellow artist.

Tory Lanez refuses to apologise to Megan Thee Stallion
Tory Lanez recently took to his Instagram handle to share a note with his fans after being sentenced to 10 years in prison. He stated that he has never let such times intimidate him and he will not let any jail time eliminate him. The rapper wrote, "Regardless of how they try to spin my words, I have always maintained my innocence and I always will."

Lanez further added, "This week in court I took responsibility for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved… that’s it. In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongfully convicted of. I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do."
The Canadian rapper stated that he has faced adversity all his life and each time it looked like he would lose, he would always manage to come on the top. He mentioned that he will not stop fighting for himself until he will come out "victorious." He concluded his long note by saying that "Tough times don’t last, tough people do." Tory expressed gratitude to his fans in the hope to see them again soon.

Will Tory serve his sentence?
After Tory was sentenced to 10 years in prison, his attorney Jose Baez stated that they intend to appeal the decision in the court. As per his lawyer, he will serve his sentence and will leave everything to his faith. However, the rapper has claimed that he has been wrongfully convicted in the case.
