Viral: Green Day Runs Off Stage During Detroit Concert Fearing Their Safety From Drone
Green Day's Saviors Tour concert at Comerica Park paused unexpectedly due to an unauthorized drone hovering near the stage.
Mumbai is set to host Lollapalooza India in 2025 and finally announced the details. This two-day event will be held on March 8 and 9 next year. The festival will showcase a wide range of music genres, such as pop, rock, hip-hop, EDM, and technology. Among the performers, five-time Grammy Award-winner Green Day will be the highlight. The band features lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. Known for their dynamic concerts, Green Day has recently paused a show due to a drone incident, which is now being widely discussed online.
Greenday leaves the stage during their concert
On September 4, during Green Day's Saviors Tour concert at Comerica Park in Detroit, the band had to pause their performance unexpectedly. They left the stage abruptly when a drone was spotted hovering nearby. Stadium security escorted the band offstage to address this potential safety threat, which was resolved with the help of the Detroit Police Department (DPD). The band returned after around 10 minutes and resumed the show for nearly 41,000 fans.
Billboard confirmed that the drone was not authorised, which led to the sudden halt. The video screens displayed a message indicating, "Show Pause. Please standby for details."
After clearing the drone, the concert continued without further issues, and Green Day later issued an apology on social media. They explained that stadium security had to clear the stage to handle a potential safety issue, but the situation was quickly managed by the DPD, allowing the show to go on. Amid an upcoming concert in India, The video of the incident has been making rounds on the internet.

Lollapalooza India 2025 has announced its details today, on September 10. The two-day music festival will happen in Mumbai on March 8 and 9 next year. The organisers revealed the artist lineup through an Instagram post. The festival will feature global stars like Louis Tomlinson and Aurora, alongside Indian rock icons Raftaar and Hanumankind.
Green Day, winners of five Grammy Awards and Canadian pop sensation Shawn Mendes will also headline. The lineup includes Glass Animals, Zedd, John Summit, Nothing But Thieves, Anushka, Big Boi, Cory Wong, Alok, Talwiinder, Wave To Earth, Isabel Larosa, Niladri Kumar, Lisa Mishra, and many others. With 20 hours of music across four stages, this event is set to be unforgettable.
